Reporting a repair in Cherwell District Council Housing Management Properties

This service is for tenants who rent their home directly from Cherwell District Council only

If you rent from Sanctuary, Bromford, Greensquare or any other Housing Association then you will need to contact their repair service.

Please ensure that you or your representative is there at the time you agree with us. If we are unable to gain access on more than one occasion we will charge a call out fee.

When completing the form please indicate the best time for us to contact you and also the best time for us to carry out the repair.


Housing Management Rented properties

Please check your tenancy and make sure that we are responsible for the repair. Any attendance when the repair is not the liability of Housing Managment will be charged repair responsibilities document.

Housing Management Shared ownership properties

Repairs or defects on our shared ownership properties should also be reported immediately if your property is still within the first year after purchase. In the second year we will only deal with structural concerns.  We will assess the work required and inform you if we are to make arrangements to fix the issue according to our contractual requirements.

Damage to properties

If you or anyone in your home causes damage to the property, it is your responsibility to do the repair and pay for the work to be done. If we need to do the repair to make sure you and the household are safe, you will be asked to pay for the cost of the work. When you leave the property, if we carry out repairs to put right any damage that has been done, you will also be charged for the work.

Your details

The personal information which you will provide within this form will be stored securely and confidentially and will be used solely in relation to request. If we have to get a specialist repair contractor, such as a plumber, we will need to pass on your address and contact details so that they can attend. Always ask to see their ID when they come to do the repair.
